Power block

Power block

Description

NEWS: Power block with 4-stroke Honda engine, 220 kg PULLING POWER and NEW HUB CAP, making net hauling even easier. See pictures. The “Mercedes” version of the power block, with a 4-stroke Honda engine, has now been on the market for a year. It is quiet-running, easy to start and doesn’t require oil mixed petrol. The new gear introduced in 2009 has increased the block’s pulling capacity to 220 kg. The power block has an adjustable speed of 0-30 m/s and pulling power of 0-220 kg. The NORWEGIAN PATENTED power block weighs 10 kilos and comes with a 2-year guarantee. It can also be used as a portable winch in forestry or construction work. The possibilities are many.

EVEN MORE GREAT NEWS:

We now have an electric block with 100 kg pulling power. It runs on a 12 V battery and is reversible with power in both directions (pull/push). Price: NOK 9,900. It is identical to the petrol version, but green. See pictures. Contact us for more information.

Both power blocks are a hobby fisherman’s dream. They also come with an optional davit: NOK 1,300.

Demand has surged after the 4-stroke Honda engine was introduced, and it is well received in the market.

We finally have it in stock again for immediate delivery, with a new hub cap preventing the net from snagging on the hub. See picture.

I have received positive feedback on the block. Elderly people have told me they were ready to sell their boats because they no longer had the stamina to haul in their catch. Many of my customers had given up on going to sea again. After buying the power block, they are now out fishing more than ever.

The conclusion is that the power block gives people a better quality of life. No pill can bring you the same good health as fishing at sea.

We have also sold a number of blocks to people fishing for king crabs on the coast of Finnmark. One fellow told me that, thanks to the power block, he was granted a permit by the Directorate of Fisheries to fish for king crabs. One of the requirements is that you must have mechanical assistance for hauling the heavy pots.  We have also sold many blocks to crawfishermen operating  in 100-200-metre-deep waters on the coasts of southern and western Norway. I myself have 19 linked crawfish pots in 105-metre-deep waters west of Karmøy, and I’m hauling them in like pearls on a string – and that with a 120-kg-capacity power block. The latest version, as stated previously, has 220 kg pulling power.

The block weighs only 10 kg and can be lifted off its mounting post when not in use; hence it can be used on all types of boats.

As a customer said: “You won’t believe it until you see it or try it.”

Contact us for more information. We have 3 different mounting posts.

We deliver nationwide in Norway and abroad! We have sold our blocks to Australia, Croatia, Spain, Denmark, Scotland, Shetland and Greenland.

The manufacturer has a service/guarantee workshop with a parts warehouse in Årdal, Norway. TWO-YEAR GUARANTEE!
